The women’s eastern Canadian senior national championships were held March 13th to 17th at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club. Toronto’s Mayfair club hosted the first tournament of the season. This tournament is part of a Canadian ITF serie. Marie-Josée Laporte, from Montreal, did very well being finalist both insingles and doubles. Her doubles partner was Francine Pilon. Marie-Josée is now 7th in Canada in singles, in her age group.
