World team championships : Popescu and Veitch in Miami Beach

From October 21st to 26th, the World team championships were played under the warm sun in Miami Beach.

The participants were divided into three age groups: 35, 40 and 45 and over.

On the women side, two Quebecers represented Canada for this event, Cristina Popescu and Angela Veitch.

Popescu, and the 35 and over Canadian team finished 5th. Germany won the Suzanne Lenglen Cup over the United States in the finals. A total of 15 countries were represented.

Veitch and her team members competed in the Young Cup in the 40 and over age group and ended up in the 14th place. France was the winner over Spain.
